The soundtrack to Brian DePalma's crime drama Carlito's Way is appropriately claustrophobic and menacing, featuring a selection of incidental music and pop songs from the early '70s. It doesn't really work as an individual entity, but the album has a lot of interesting, provocative music. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
